FitGirls offers an alternative to mainstream programming as not all girls want to participate in dance, gymnastics or organized sports. We are a high energy, movement-focused program that encourages girls to build physical strength and confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Our medically-approved program focuses on girls aged 8-14 years.
FitGirls provides a pro-girl and girls-only environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe and confirms that girls can succeed and deserve to be taken seriously for the people they are now and the women they will become.

Fitness has always been a part of my life. I remember in grade 2 being a part of an “aerobics committee” and having to present to an audience at a local mall! I felt very important at that time! If there is one thing I have learned over the years is that, essentially, fitness builds confidence.
In high school, I was inspired by my exercise science teacher to pursue a career in fitness. I have worked in the industry for over 10 years now. I started my career after graduating from George Brown College, receiving an advanced diploma in the Fitness and Lifestyle Management program. Through this I become certified as a personal trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. I have had the pleasure of working with many different people but one true blessing is having the opportunity to work with youth! From developing programs, creating classes, supporting kids fitness events to working one-on-one with youth.
Alongside my fitness passions, I am in the process of pursuing a career as an operations fire fighter. As I reach for this next set of stars, I am currently an Advanced Medical First Responder volunteering with St John Ambulance. I hope that through this I can inspire females, everywhere, to reach for their goals and to find whatever makes their life a ridiculously, over the top, happy one!
Being a part of the FitGirls family has given me a place to let my passion for youth health and fitness flourish! To be a part of this is to have the responsibility of affecting young minds – positive self body image, healthy eating, and active living are all of part of what I try to inspire! I am also completely humbled but what I learn from these young souls every time I get to work with them! Thank you to all the parents who are investing in their child’s health with the gift of movement in a positive environment. Cheers to FitGirls!
